Road Fury is a browser game developed by Inlogic under the GameSnacks project of Google's Area 120. The game will have you drive a laser-armed car along a highway. Not only that, but it will also have you gun down tanks and other cars that block you on the road. With every car you explode, you can get coins. The bigger the vehicle, the more coins you can collect. There are also other powerups that you can get.  Road Fury is a free-to-play arcade game playable on any device. It is also meant to load quickly, no matter how slow your internet connection. 

Lasers are cool

Like other HTML5 games, Road Fury has pretty simple controls. The car automatically drives and shoots continuous laser fire. You only need to click and hold the left mouse button and drag it left and right to swerve around the other cars. Your car is faster than all other cars, so you need to carve a path for yourself, similar to how you would play a shoot em’ up like Space Invaders. Eventually, you’ll have to defeat a tank shooting at you for every level. 

Most of the cars will give you money when they blow up, and you can buy upgrades in the main menu or when you die. However, some special vehicles blow up other cars and even give you other pick-up items, like the ambulance with the health boost and the taxi with the nitro boost. Other power-ups include a magnet for money and a powerful laser gun—and these two, including the nitro boost, can be used for a limited time and be upgraded to last longer. 

When it comes to your car, you can upgrade it with side lasers for more coverage and better armor. You can unlock two more cars by accomplishing the needing requirements. The game gets creative with the level design and difficulty of each tank you face. However, the main menu itself is missing in the GameSnacks version—although it automatically upgrades your car for you. This is a fun top-down shoot em’ up traffic game for those who like the genre.
